              Preparing for a blood test<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

              Rules for patient preparation for laboratory tests<\/strong>
              A complete blood count and biochemical tests are performed on an empty stomach, at least 12 hours after the last meal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                \n
              • 1–2 days before the test, avoid fatty and fried foods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • the evening before, have a light dinner and get adequate rest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • on the day of the test, do not eat breakfast (including tea, coffee, or juice), avoid physical activity, do not take medications, and refrain from smoking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • drinking water does not affect blood test results, so you may drink water.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                We recommend having all tests done in the morning, as blood values change significantly during the day and reference ranges are based on morning samples.
                Before thyroid blood tests: it is recommended to have the TSH test done in the morning between 9:00 and 12:00.
                If you are taking thyroid medication, ensure there is at least a 4-hour gap between taking the tablet and giving the blood sample.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
